Everyday Blooms | Malinda Fuller

Everyday Blooms | Malinda Fuller

I connected with this beautiful SoCal wife and momma through the Influence Network, and have loved watching her step more fully into her strengths and giftings as a writer over the past few months. Her story of choosing obedience over hustle will challenge and encourage you to more bravely and wholeheartedly trust God with your hopes and dreams while raising up… Read More

Everyday Blooms | Jenn Nicole

I met this gorgeous gal a few years ago, when our husbands worked together briefly, and have watched from a distance as she’s walked through uncertainty and loss with a fierce and unrelenting faith. Her story of hope amidst heartbreak so powerfully tells of a God who “takes the broken pieces and makes them beautiful” [Ecclesiastes 3:11]. Meet Jenn… What’s your story, morning glory? In January… Read More

Wake Up! Penduka is Here!

Friends!  She’s here!! In the same way writing a book feels a little like growing and delivering a baby (ring of fire and all), announcing it feels a little like showing said baby off.   You’re running on adrenaline and want to jump up and down, and exhausted all at the same time.  You want to scream it from the mountaintops, and fear… Read More

The Comparison Game {and Why it’s So Overrated}

The Comparison Game {and Why it’s So Overrated}

I spent most of my adolescent years aching to be someone else.  Any body else. And while I can say that I’ve finally learned to embrace the quirky, awkwardly transparent, people-loving introvert I’ve grown into, I still occasionally stumble into that place of longing for the ability to behave or perform or create like another. I often struggle with comparing… Read More

A Letter To My Babes: Philippians Style

Sweet friends, you’re in for a treat!  Allow me to introduce you to one of my favorite humans on the planet: Bethany.  I met this amazing woman several years ago through a mutual friend (our bestie below on the left), and we’ve been mutually smitten ever since. Bethany is wise, she is kind, she is hilarious, and she is insanely gifted.  You… Read More

Even Still… [When You Can’t See God’s Hand] & Printable

I was reading in my Jesus Calling this morning about waiting, trusting and hoping, and how the three are intricately connected to each other. How they act as a strong chain, woven around the central cord of trust, connecting our hearts to God’s. And it reminded me how hard it is to rest in Him – to wait and to… Read More

Good News For The Weary Woman

Good News For The Weary Woman

It happens every time I tell the story. I’m right there.  In the muck, in the shame.  In the hopelessness. I can feel the grip of self-loathing tighten around my throat.  My heartbeat quickens as the fear of exposure whispers; You are such a mess. You are worthless.  You’re finished. It’s just for a second.  But it’s there. So much… Read More

Set of 4 Coffee Inspired Printables

I find that there are people you meet in life who make you want to drink. And then there are those you come across who make you want to drink coffee. Or tea.  Or hot chocolate. Really any warm beverage you can sip slowly – together – will do, if it gives you a few more minutes to soak up… Read More

The Language of Empowerment {A Shameless Plug for our Favorite Parenting Series}

We’ve read lots of excellent parenting books over the years, but nothing has shifted our paradigms quite like Danny Silk’s Loving Our Kids On Purpose.  It rocked our parenting world.  It’s like Shepherding A Child’s Heart meets Parenting with Love and Logic, edited by Erma Bombeck.  It’s brilliant and simple and biblical and fun.  And it just.makes.sense, which…when you’re a… Read More

When Your Wings Are Weighed Down {plus Free Printable}

I have never been particularly business savvy. Partly because I just haven’t a clue what I’m doing. Most mostly because, if I’m honest, I’ve established really blurry boundary lines.  If boundaries at all. I have always struggled to find balance between my firm belief in the importance of generously sharing your unique talents and giftings with the world around you…and… Read More

Lessons from Under the Bridge {plus a Hand-Doodled Printable}

I’ve been processing a lot over the summer – a lot of good, deep, heart stuff – and it’s been an incredibly liberating journey to say the least. Not always easy, but always good. As God has slowly been chipping away at the unsightly parts of my heart, dealing with misplaced priorities and my maternally-inspired anger issue, He’s tenderly brought… Read More

On Being Rooted: Confessions of an Approval Addict {plus Free Printable}

A funny thing happens when you feel called to pour out your heart and soul, raw and unfiltered, on paper and offer it up as a broken prayer to an equally fragile world. You feel brave and courageous. On a mission and absolutely determined to hit the target, no matter the cost. The euphoria that comes from actually accomplishing something… Read More

Permission Granted. In case you needed someone t Permission Granted.

In case you needed someone to tell you: yes, you should absolutely make the impromptu stop at the roadside farm stand and buy the $5 bouquet of flowers.

No, you do not need a reason.

No, you do not need to be buying them for someone else (although that is a perfectly lovely thing to do, too).

Buy them for yourself.
Put them in your kitchen.
Smile every time you walk past them. 🌸

And support your local flower growers and farm stands while you’re at it.

That is all.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled scrolling.
If you are an Eight, my prayer is that you would n If you are an Eight, my prayer is that you would
never lose your fierce love for justice, your courage,
or your willingness to protect those who cannot protect themselves.

Those are holy gifts.

But may you also discover the freedom of being protected yourself.
May you find people with whom you no longer need armor. And may you know, deep in your bones, that the God who fights for you is inviting you to rest...
not because you're weak, but because you were never meant to carry every battle alone.

Our expectations for peach season were high.

Turns out, that tree was throwing itself a retirement party.
It died the following year.

We’ve since planted two more. The one that has always been unproductive surprised us this summer with these gorgeous, generous peaches. The healthy, established tree that usually produces? One. Single. Peach.

Fruit-bearing is an interesting thing.
Unpredictable. Relatively unmanageable.
Sometimes delicious and sometimes disappointing.

And maybe that’s why I love the reminder it offers:
performance isn’t always a good indicator
of what’s happening beneath the surface.

Take heart, dear one.

Some seasons, you’ll crush the to-do list,
accomplish the goals and have plenty to show for yourself.

Other seasons, you’ll simply keep showing up.
Quietly. Consistently. Faithfully.

And that is enough, too. 🌱
What if your greatest strength was never meant to What if your greatest strength
was never meant to become a hiding place?

This week on Oh, Good Grief, we're continuing in our Summer Enneagram Series by exploring the Type Eight: The Challenger.

Many Eights learned early that strength was safer than vulnerability.
But what if healing isn't about becoming less strong?

What if it's about discovering that courage
and tenderness were never meant to compete?

God isn't asking you to lay down your strength.
He's inviting you to lay down the armor you no longer need.

This week on Oh, Good Grief, as we continue in our Summer Enneagram series, we’re exploring Type 7: The Enthusiast - their gift of joy, the longing for freedom, and the ways we sometimes run from pain because it feels too heavy to carry.

Sevens remind us that hope matters.
That beauty still exists.
That tomorrow can hold something good.

But joy was never meant to require us to avoid sorrow.
The invitation isn't to become less joyful.
It's to discover a joy deep enough to hold the whole story.

This week on Oh, Good Grief, we're exploring the Enneagram 6: The Loyalist, their gift of preparation, the weight of uncertainty, and the journey from fear to trust.

Sixes are often the ones who ask the important "what if" questions,
notice the details, protect what matters, and stay when things get hard.

But sometimes the same voice that helps us prepare can keep us trapped.

Fear is a wonderful informant.
It makes a terrible leader.

The invitation isn't to become fearless.
It's to discover the One who walks with us through every unknown.
