Penduka Book

We all long to live lives that count for something.  Lives – distinctly separate and yet undeniable interconnected – that together speak of a profoundly beautiful truth: that there was in fact more to life than just surviving and that leaving an indelible mark on this world wasn’t just a fantasy, but a mandate.

•  If you feel a fire in your bones, an urgency in your spirit to live with more intention, and an ache to experience more fulfillment in your work and play…

•  If the thought of using your time, talent and resources to create something extraordinarily beautiful – of lasting impact – makes your heart beat faster…

•  If your soul feels weary and somewhat neglected amidst the hustle…

This book was written for you.

If you’re trying desperately to rekindle what is smoldering beneath the chaos of life, it’s for you too.

And if you feel you’ve lost your fire – or are not sure whether you ever really felt one…it’s especially for you.

A CALL TO WAKE UP YOUR SOUL

This book is an invitation to ignite your passion and unearth your purpose, while inspiring a careful stewarding of your most limited resource; yourself.

My goal in wringing out these words and wrapping them up in book-form for you was not to quench your thirst for something greater.  It was to create in you an even greater thirst.  To ruin your appetite for status quo and create space for you to dream and wrestle and soak and plan.

I hope to foster in you a burning desire to live wholeheartedly, audaciously even, so you can step bravely into the extraordinary life you were created to live.

“Penduka” is an Otjiherero word that calls us to arise, to “wake up!”

Sweet friend, it’s time for you to rise up and step out.  It’s time to wake up!

not to shame us,
but to free us.

When you emerge, resist the urge to perform again.
Choose the quiet courage of being seen and known.
The applause was never worth the cost.

Episode 7 of Oh, Good Grief | The Podcast is live: Made for More.

In this final episode of the Wilderness series,
we talk about what all the pruning, pressure,
and perseverance were for,
and how God wastes nothing,
not even our pain.
